Mental Health America of Southeast Florida is proud to present its 19th edition of “Connections”, a guide to behavioral health and support services in Broward County. “Connections” provides a tool that empowers those with illness to be informed about resources and opportunities available to them in pursuit of recovery. "Connections" is also a resource to connect providers for collaboration and social service referrals to meet the community's need. Please note that resource information in our community changes rapidly. While our staff and volunteers have made every effort to provide accurate content, there may be adjustments or corrections that were not available at the time this book went to print. We will make every effort to post the most current information in the “Connections” section under Publications & Directories on the MHA website at www.mhasefl.org and our web site publication.
MHA appreciates the continued support of our project underwriters: Broward County’s Human Services Department and Broward Behavioral Health Coalition. Without their partnership, this resource would not be possible.
The MISSION of your Mental Health America of Southeast Florida is to promote mental health and victory over mental illness and related challenges through education, prevention, advocacy, research, and empowerment. Mental Health America of Southeast Florida has provided its programs and services in Broward County since 1957. To meet the needs in Miami-Dade County, MHA is expanding its service area to build partnerships and resources and operates as Mental Health America of Southeast Florida. “Connections” addresses each component of Mental Health America of Southeast Florida's mission. We invite you to join our organization and our advocacy efforts. Mental health is a goal for everyone-
